Organic waste

Oleochemicals

STL - Oleochemicals refers to chemicals derived from plants oils and animal fats, including fatty acids, fatty alcohols, fatty esters, fatty amides, glycerol and their derivatives. These products are widely used in many applications including as surfactants (in home care and personal care products and industrial applications), lubricants and solvents (in paints and coatings) and in the production of plastics, rubber and paper.

Open ponds

STL - Outdoor culturing system for microalgae growth. They are usually shallow systems that can be excavated and built up with walls of concrete. They can be unlined or lined with impermeable materials.
